Runeomicon Game Basics
A deep dive into every core mechanic in Runeomicon — from the arcane energy system to god summoning.
Arcane Energy System
Arcane energy is the currency of everything in Runeomicon. You earn it by successfully completing rune drawings. The amount earned depends on:
- • Rune complexity: Harder runes reward more energy
- • Drawing accuracy: More precise = more energy
- • Speed bonus: Fast, accurate draws earn extra energy
- • Combo multiplier: Consecutive successful runes increase rewards
Energy is spent on spells, summons, towers, and upgrades. Managing this resource is the strategic heart of the game.
Defense Mechanics
Your sanctuary has a health pool. When enemies reach it, they deal damage. If health reaches zero, the ritual fails. Defense options:
Spells
Direct-cast abilities that damage or disable enemies. Costs energy per cast.
Towers
Permanent structures that automatically attack enemies in range. One-time energy cost.
Summons
Creatures that fight independently. Each god grants unique summon types.
Barriers
Temporary shields that slow or block enemy advancement. Buy time for rune drawing.
God Summoning
There are six dark gods you can summon, each fundamentally changing your playstyle. Summoning requires accumulating a large amount of arcane energy. Once summoned, a god grants:
- • Unique spell set
- • Special tower/summon types
- • Passive bonuses to rune drawing
- • Exclusive upgrade paths
The final goal is always to summon Ilur, the goddess of death, which requires mastering the full ritual.
Upgrade System
During each ritual, you can spend energy on upgrades that persist for the duration of that run. These follow branching paths — investing in one direction locks you out of others. Choose between offensive power, defensive fortification, drawing efficiency, or god-specific paths.
